River Usk, Llangynidr

This is the River Usk, just south of Bwlch close to Llangynidr. Taken while out walking with Jen, heather and the dogs, in the unusually hot and humid weather spell experienced during the first week in July.

This is a 5 shot bracket, processed [quite harshly I admit] in PMP and is part of my Vivid Collection.

Skomer Island, May 2009

Spent a wonderful day on Skomer Island, where the weather was simply gorgeous. There's not just birds to be photographed on Skomer, so I decided to try to capture the glorious colours that are prevalent on Skomer at this time of year; with Bluebells, Red Campion and White Campion in abundance.

Trying my hand at some further HDR treatment. There's a handy little Lightroom plugin for PhotomatixPro V3 that allows you to export selected images to PhotomatixPro automatically. I used this plugin on this image.

It's the same boat as was on an earlier image.

Recently of late I have become more and more interested in landscapes and panorama shots. Unfortunately, there's no real scenery within walking distance of where I live without a trip to the woods etc. However I have recently been given access to a small private field adjacent to the river and, excitingly, just 100yds from my from door. I have set up a feeding station for the birds and and plan on using the hide at the spot frequently.

Alas, I was there this morning, the tide was right up and the owners boat - instead of being rested on the mud, was floating on the high tide. So, I decided I'd have a go at a 4 frame pano, and this is the result.

4 frames, stitched in Auto Pano Pro.
